Sara Geoghegan LCSW

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience supporting adolescents, young adults, and families through life’s challenges. My work is grounded in empathy, curiosity, and collaboration—and I strive to create a warm, affirming space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered.

I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, life transitions, ADHD, OCD, perfectionism, interpersonal conflict, and behavioral and emotional regulation issues. I integrate evidence-based approaches—including CBT, DBT, mindfulness, trauma-informed care, and solution-focused therapy—and tailor sessions to the individual needs and strengths of each client. I also offer animal-assisted therapy alongside Hudson, my 4-year-old English Lab. Hudson has two years of experience working in clinical settings and is currently training for advanced certification.

My background includes working in wilderness therapy, residential treatment, and outpatient mental health settings across Utah, Colorado, and Minnesota. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Colorado State University with a certificate in Advanced Clinical Behavioral Health. Now, I’m grateful to return home to my Delaware roots and reconnect with this vibrant community.

Outside of the office, you can usually find me on a trail with my dog, Hudson, practicing yoga, creating ceramics, or planning my next long-distance hike.
